The opportunity

The recent merging of Product Inclusion & Equity, and Accessibility into one central organization meant that we needed ensure we have a shared purpose, overall vision, and identity for our overarching organization.

While we all had our own unique identities, missions and visions, we recognized the need to establish our identity as a unified group.

As the sole visual and brand designer within the organization, I took on the opportunity to align our disparate, but still relative brands and visions into a cohesive brand. Since the establishment of this more-aligned brand, Product Inclusion & Equity and Equity Engineering merged.

Ethos

With each individual organization having their own unique combination of values, strategy, vision and missions, I needed to find our intersections and commonalities.

The logo concept

The concept for the following logo is based on CPIEA teams and our common goals and values.

The visual direction for this logo came from the thought that, though each of our orgs have their own specific lens or focus, we all work together as CPIEA to build better. The way we work together is intersectional, which intersectionality in a different context is often a topic we discuss across our orgs.

These logo depicts translucent lenses or planes, illustrating our overlap and what we can create together. Current Core and Core Experience (currently displaying as CPIEA logo) logos communicate centrality and a piece of a whole.
